Google Pixel Buds

Google Pixel Buds but not the PRO ones

In one of my trips to USA I went to BestBuy and bought Google Pixel Buds A-Series. 69.99 USD + taxes. Since they were announced I wanted to try them out, to see what all the hype is about. Bought them, unpack them, pair with my phone (iPhone 12 Pro) and prepared my ears for it.

First thought

This are going to fall off my ears. I tried to adjust them, managed some how to keep them on and played some music. First instinct was to go back and return them. I sense no difference between this and any other no name brand that cost under 30USD.

After a few minutes, i have tried: phone call, music, youtube video, Disney+ TV Shows and some podcast. I was very disappointed, I mean, its Google.

Went back to my hotel and after a few other rounds of testing I decided to keep them to see if they are working better with my next to be Google Pixel 6a phone.

These week I was looking thru my stuff and rediscovered the earphones, paired them with Google Pixel 6a and same sensation. For my ear and my level of education when comes to music, I don’t like them, but, they are good when you need small footprint, great battery life and Google Assistant integrated. Somehow, they are like a spare when I don’t wanna carry my full size Skullcandy Crusher or I need something discrete in a work call or something.

Google Pixel Buds, not bad, not great either. If i think about it, thats why Google Pixel Buds Pro exist, there has to be a justification.
